Subtitles in Powerpoint
Over the last few months the language features in Microsoft apps has improved greatly and this is due to machine learning. Machine learning is software that enables the app to learn the more you use it and with millions of people all over the planet using language features in Microsoft app, there is a lot of data being assimilated to make the service better and better.
PowerPoint now has Subtitles available and it is surprisingly easy to set up so that all your listeners can access your presentation. Now everyone can access your presentation. If a language your listeners need isn't available, don't fret. Microsoft are adding languages all the time, so keep checking back to see if it has been included.
Now you are ready to Set up your subtitles. This takes a while to programme, so make sure you allow 4-5min for the process to take place. While it is setting up the subtitles, there is a collection of useful tips that pop up as you wait.

This app is free on Android and iPhone in app stores. Anyone wanting to access the subtitles in a different language to the output language you choose will need this app on their phone.Setting up PowerPoint for Subtitles
Open an existing presentation, or create a new one. Once you have finished adding all the content to the presentation you wish to add subtitles to select Slide Show on the main menu and then choose Start Subtitles. Select the input language = the language you will be speaking. Select the output language = the language you would like to display the subtitles in. Here the picture shows English spoken in, and Hungarian subtitles coming out. You can have English in and English out if you wish. Then choose Additional Settings.
Additional settings give you more control over how your subtitles are viewed. Enter your name, then you can choose where the subtitles appear on your screen; at the top or at the bottom. If you wish to have people access your presentation in a different language to the output language, then you need to check the Add Instructional Slide box. Close this window when you have finished to return to the previous Setting up Subtitles window.
